Unique Donegal Sleepathon!
Posted online: Nov 20th, 2008
Four ladies are taking part in a 24-hour charity sleepathon in Donegal Town this Friday in full display of the public.
The fundraiser will start at 6pm and end at 6pm on Saturday to raise vital funds for Solace Cancer Support Centre and Donegal Community Hospital’s Patients Comfort Fund.
Dressed in their pyjamas, Kerry McCarter, Rionach McKee, Tricia Boyle and Anne Bennett will spend the night and day at Stockhouse furniture store.
Meanwhile members of the public will be able to keep tabs on the ladies through the windows of the store and check that they’re behaving themselves!
The foursome launched the charity project on November 1 last, in the company of an Elvis lookalike who had been competing in the Elvis festival in Bundoran.
Kerry who is General Manager of Stockhouse said: “We have all got sponsor cards and would be very grateful for all donations, which can be made in Stockhouse or directly with the ladies”.
Anyone who sponsors the ladies will be entered into a draw to win a luxury leather bed and memory foam mattress, which Stockhouse is generously donating.
Kerry added: “Everyone is more than welcome to come and view us in the windows of Stockhouse next Friday night, and donate to these worthy local charities of course.”
If you’d like to pledge some sponsorship money for the sleepathon please telephone: 0749725367/ 0862188204 or email kerrymccarter@hotmail.com
