Donegal to feel the heat this weekend

The Donegal team may be feeling the pressure ahead of the all important Crossmaglen showdown with Armagh this weekend – but they are certainly going to feel the heat.
Met Eireann are forecasting temperatures to be in the low twenties for Saturday.
The Donegal team may not relish going into enemy territory in such conditions but fans can be assured that the Armagh players will be sweating before the first kick of the ball.
The good weather is good news however, for festival goers to Bundoran’s Sea Sessions, many of whom will be camping.
Met Eireann forecaster Jim O’Brien said the short term forecast for Donegal was for warm weather with some cloud cover.
“The temperatures are going to stay around the 15 to 18 degree mark for Wednesday and Thursday with Thursday being a decent day with some scattered showers at worst.
“Friday in Donegal is going to be starting fine but will have some showers in the afternoon as the temperature increases to the low 20’s.
Ahead of the ‘do or die championship clash’ for the county team the Donegal players will be feeling the heat as the forecaster predicted ‘a very warm day on Saturday.
“Saturday will be hot, dry and very warm with temperatures exceeding 20 degrees, but there should be a bit of cloud and so we can only hope to have sunny spells” he said.
On Sunday the weather is going to be a bit more unsettled,” according to the forecaster.
He rubbished suggestions that ‘the long range forecast is for a hot dry summer’.
“These long range predictions are notoriously unreliable and as such we don’t do them here in Met Eireann. You just couldn’t say accurately what the weather is going to be like in the long term’.
